The EU-PNG Trade Related Assistance Phase 2 (TRA) Programme has started implementing an activity to support the Department of Trade, Commerce and Industry in the preparation of trade defence (anti-dumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard) legislation and on the operationalisation of the trade defence unit. Trade defence instruments are essential tools to defend domestic industries from unfair trading practices (dumping and/or subsidisation), or imports surges, that cause injury to them.
