European Union assists PNG Government with Cost/Benefits Analysis Study

The EU-funded Trade Related Assistance project will engage key stakeholders in Kimbe and Lae next week on the costs and benefits that PNG enjoys from its membership in major trade agreements like the Economic Partnership Agreement with the EU and the new Melanesian Free Trade Agreement, soon to come into force. The mission comprises:Mrs. Bridgette Kamish, the Focal Point for Component 2; Dr. Claudius Preville, Key Expert for Component 2 and Dr. Evious Zgovu, Non-Key Expert hired specifically for this activity under the project. The mission teams plans to meet with representatives of various industries including: Oil Palm, Cocoa, Coffee, Fish and other important sectors trading between PNG and other countries under major trading agreements
